Salt water rinse after wisdom tooth extraction?

its been 12 hours since my 4 wisdom extractions. I've been rinsing with salt and water as doctor has instructed. But when i rinse i see a little bit of blood but its not fresh blood it seems to be old blood, a little brownish in color...am i doing something wrong?
