My visa prepaid card won't activate?

I recently got a visa prepaid giftcard and every time I try to activate it and put in my information I always get denied at the end by the same error page--something about them unable to process my request at this time. I've waited and tried later as instructed but it doesn't change. When I call the help number, I only get an automated message.. no live person, and there isn't another way to contact them (that they list on their site) other than by post. Anyone have similar stories/advice?
